Thanks!
A bit of it seemed a bit daunting, like drinking my own bodyweight in water... I am 116kgs! That would be a ridiculous amount of water...
I also didnt get the rolling out of stuff but the headphones thing and the chaffing thing is certainly to bear in mind
I have got a good sports bra, and i hope to start out really really small rather than doing anything major, so will see how i get on!0 -
If I read her right, its half you body weight in pounds, in ounces. So 116 kilos gives 127 ounces you are to drink, which is maybe 3.5 litres, or 14-ish 250 ml glasses. Does sound high.0

That was a really good read. Might I suggest copy/pasting the article here since MFP "might" take issue with you advertising your blog (not sure if this will happen, just trying to be precautionary since this is a helpful article)0

Just for clarification, it is half your body weight (in pounds). For example, I weigh 135 pounds so I would drink 65-70 ounces of water in a day. It does seem like a lot at first but you get use to it. From what I've read from multiple sources, this is the ideal amount of water. Not to mention, when I don't drink this much water (especially on a run day) I am not hydrated enough and I definitely suffer from it.0 -
I was just about to make a thread asking for some tips lol

You can do it! I'm doing it right now, and some days are hard and some weeks I repeated, but I have improved so much. Just stick with it.0 -

I am going to start couch to 5k tomorrow. I've never rean in my life! Or at least since middle and high school when we were made to run in gym! We'll see. I've gotten a new pair of running shoes and a new sports bra so we'll just go from there!0

Get some decent running shoes, and try to relax and enjoy your running. Don't get into too much analysis of your running ...0

I'm starting the C25K on Nov 15, at the start of the winter! I'm excited to get proper shoes and gear so that I can do it properly. I can see myself going at half speed or less because of my RA, but I feel like a person should be able to run 5k - in case of zombies or aliens or something.
Oh, plus, I'm doing it with my dog. He's fired up too.0 -
I started running for the first time this past spring & immediately fell in love with it! Ran a 5K in September; the weather here is now in the 30's & I tried running in layers of sweatshirts, sweatshirts, tops, jackets, etc and that didn't go so well. Sooo... today I drove an hour to the Under Armour store and spent $162 on two cold gear sets! Get ready to be addicted, fellow newbies!0

I started running in March (after I was cleared 6 weeks post partum) and have ran five 5ks since. And let me tell ya, I love to run now more then ever, even though its getting colder here in Ohio. I loved the tips, and some of them I had no clue about!!!!!!! Bump!!!!0

8 glasses of water a day is a myth. Google it. You do not need near that amount of water. To much water can over work your kidneys.0

You're welcome; I love to run and I love helping people with their running even more! If any of you want to add me as a friend, just add a quick note and I'll accept. I try to be as supportive as I can on here

After my 5 min brisk warm-up walk, I started jogging.... and didn't stop until I was kicked off the treadmill 15 mins later! Going again tonight so I can work on increasing my speed. (I know running outside is more challenging but we are in the midst of winter so it is much to icy for a beginner runner in my opinon =(.. ).
