My body finally gave me the dope slap that I needed

Saturday night we had a family get together for my daughter's 7th birthday. I ate A LOT!!! Pepparoni pizza, all these crazy dips, cookies, cupcakes & beer. I thought I was going to vomit that night. Feeling better Sunday morning, I ate breakfast, then had a burrito for lunch...I havent been able to eat anything since. My stomach is killing me!

This is my apology...please body, forgive me...I promise I will change!! I hope I remember this digusting feeling come Thanksgiving and Christmas!

I do the same nearly every weekend. I eat clean all week then have a cheat meal Saturday night. I literally stuff myself then roll around in agony for hours until my body digests a bit of it! I call it my food baby because I look like i'm 6 months pregnant when I finish eating lol.

I usually stretch the limits of my logging on the weekends but this was just bad! I need to get serious again. I was totally losing motivation with MFP but this has put me back on track!

We are renovating and have been eating out a lot because the kitchen is off limits right now. Sat we went to my favorite restaurant and I seriously over did it. I can't even guess how many calories I ate because it is a small gourmet place. I did much better yesterday eating and did lots of yardwork. Today eating WILL be good and already did 1.5 hours at the gym. It sucks to work so hard then screw it up! I KNOW better!

LOL You sound like my husband. Only problem is he never learns. He'll do it over and over and over again and suffer the consequences. Usually 2 days of abdominal agony after his binges.

Yep me too totally. I've had a sucky few days food wise and it's made me feel awful and stressed. Totally back with it today though. I have accepted that I will continue with saturday night food babies though. I can live through the pain he he.

I think you absolutely need to "reward" yourself here and there but I have never felt so horrible for eating so much ever in my life. I see food and have to have more. I was good today though. I threw away all of the candy that I had stashed in my desk at work and I made sure I had good snacks in my bag, just in case. Today is a new day!

I have been craving chocolate and sweets for like a week now and unfortunately have been giving into to those cravings..... i don't know what the deal is..... I'm thinking it's this new medication I'm on..... hopefully it stops soon! I've just started to lose weight again after plateauing after my wedding a month ago.

P.S. Happy Birthday your daughter!!! =)
  • Been there done that,..... feel lazy and lethargic afterwards, not to mention GUILTY !

I am promising myself now that Thanksgiving will be a day of grazing ,.....a little of all my favorite things, but no pig out session.

My husbands grandmother stayed slim and trim well into her 80's and swore by the simple trick of using a small saucer and not a dinner plate !
She fit anything she wanted to on that saucer for Holiday dinners ,....but that was it, and no seconds !!

Pardon me as I pick myself up and dust off because I did the same thing. My body is paying an awful price.

**Body, I am also very sorry I did that to you. I will gain control over my weekends. I will do my very best not to poison you again**

Thanks for your post and Happy Bday to your girl. =)

Friday and Saturday mornings are good for me... but those nights I'm usually a over due to a glass or two of wine.
Sunday mornings I have church and usually "splurge" on half a donut (with icing and sprinkles!) It's a regular, planned splurge. Then an afternoon "nap". Sunday nights are... :noway:

Mondays are always "back on track" days. Mondays aren't bad - they are a new beginning, a fresh chance to start again and make it awesome!!!

OMG I totally treated myself to a skinny iced raspberry mocha Saturday and PAID for it for several hours. It seems my belly is a little more sensitive to crap like that. NEVER again **shudders**

I am the same way. Since I have been on MFP when I eat crap I feel it much more. My body isnt used to eating all of that junk anymore.

Your bodys like a women, qballjr13. You cant treat it right all the time, then it'll get used to you babying it then boom, a binge and it acts all painful and full to the brim and blah. You gotta smack it around sometimes, get rough, tie that ***** up and shove some salami and or sausage pizza in there and expect nothing but a thank you in return. Most puns intended.

I'm willing to bet he's not the only one who suffers from his abdominal agony ;)

Yep, I used to go to Olive Garden all the time because I love cheese and the rich sauces. I'd eat anything smothered in alfredo sauce. I had some on Thursday for lunch and couldn't finish it. It was too rich and it was making me queasy. I'm glad I had it because it's been months but I have been longing for it every time I see a commercial. Now the taste for it is simply gone.

Wish I could say the same for me. Lost 113 pounds and I can eat a 2000 calorie meal like it was nothing.

I have figured out this is what happens to me. I love good food, but it just isn't the same after losing 30+pounds and adjusting my brain and stomach to a new way of eating. Our family schedule demands a lot of on the road time and eating out, but I have leaned that the take out container is great. That is my teen-age athlete son's 4th or 5th meal of the day...LOL! I don't want it and it isn't ever there for later.
