Looking for things to do in Tampa and Clearwater Beach

Hi,


Plan to visit Tampa this weekend and I am looking for things to do. It's a birthday celebration with no kids.
Would appreciate any suggestions.

    Bar Louie's is a fun place - sports bar like place. I think they have some crazy amount of beer on tap - like 37 kinds. If you're into that : )

    I can really only offer suggestions on good gay bars and drag shows because those are the only places I 'go out' to. I'm so boring.

    Clearwater has some great beaches and so does St. Petersburg. Just drive around.. you will find them EVERYWHERE..
    Also, if you are taking kids... go to Bush Gardens in Tampa. So much fun.

    I'd still hit Busch Gardens. That place is great. It's been years since I've been, but it's kind of a combo amusement park/zoo/brewery tour kind of thing. Crazy fun, and good rides. :)

    There is an old Fort there in St. Pete and a beautiful beach connected to it. Its name is Fort DeSoto. While we were there, a Manatee swam right behind me, it was awesome! It's on the southern end of St. Petersburg. Have fun, we enjoyed our time there!
