Anyone change scales during your weight loss? If so did you change to a higher end scale and the weight was different?
I have an off brand from Walmart and a fitbit Aria ... There is about a 3lbs difference.

I have two scales and they are a couple of pounds off. I like the Weight Watchers one because it tracks weight differences each time you weigh in, plus total weight loss from when you set the machine. It got really good reviews for accuracy, too.

You could take the one that shows the highest weight and use it as motivation. Oh no I gained 3lbs.

    You could use both

I switched scales and use the one that gives me the most information. It might say I weigh more or less then the other but if gives me body composition too. So as long as I only use that one I dont really care what the difference is to the other one. Just follow one.

Thanks. You both been helpful. I think I will just stick with the aria and leave the other one.

I was using an old one from years ago when I was living at home. Then I bought a new one and there was I think 10 lbs difference. So yes, I adjusted my weight according to the new scale so now instead of losing the 6 lbs that my profile shows, I have actually lost 16 lbs. While I still go back to the old scale to see if it's moving as well, I rely more on the new one.

I bought the cheapest one in the store, and I steadily lost weight on it for a while, then I hit a plateau... Maybe there's a rock stuck in the mechanism... I dunno... I'm thinking that maybe there isn't and I actually hit a plateau... so whether or not the numbers are accurate, I've stopped losing weight. I'm looking better though, as I've been doing the 30 Day Shred and getting in shape. Also, my current weight seems to be lower than a lot of people's goal weight at my height, so I'm not obsessing.

I used a cheapo one to begin with, which I'm sure the dial was out on looking back at it. It wasn't the best thing as it'd been one sitting in my Mum's shed for a number of years!

So, when my current scales (http://www.johnlewis.com/231604891/Product.aspx - these) went on sale I jumped at the chance The brand is known for being quite accurate, and it gives me the same measurement no matter how many times I step on it- it also has feet you can attach for carpets so it gives the same weight on carpets as it does on hard flooring- the 15 year gaurentee is nice too. It stands out quite a bit in our white bathroom, but as I picked it up for just under ten pounds I'm not going to moan!

It's also pretty accurate- well, it gives me the same weight as my Mum's set of scales do! Whatever you decide, make sure you stick to one set of scales. :)

I heard that using the scales with the needle instead of a digital one...give more accurate results.

Does it poke you with a needle if you don't lose enough that week?
