Nutritious food when you're sick?

For the past few days I've been feeling very under the weather and extremely nauseous. I'm tired of eating crackers and sipping ginger ale. Problem is I have NO idea what else I could eat with an upset stomach. Does anyone have ideas of light, yet nutritious food that won't send me to the porcelain throne? Any help would be appreciated!!

Broth and apple juice will usually stay down. They were the only things my daughter could stomach when she had mono. And don't stress about it if you really don't feel like eating. Sometimes when you are sick it's just better not to eat. Trust what your body is telling you and have as much fluid as you can so you don't dehydrate.

I agree. Clear broths and juices. At least you are getting something into your system that way.

I always go for Chicken Soup (homemade).

My grandmother used to make it and t's great.
  • I agree with the homemade chicken... works wonders.

Doctors recommend the BRAT diet - bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast.

I concur with the BRAT diet. If not rice, maybe some boring lightly buttered noodles.
White Bread will be easier on your stomach as apposed to wheat
