How accurate is the fitbit one?

really seriously considering purchasing the fitbit one and the aria scale. would this be worth it? I keep reading both negative and positive comments and I'm really unsure about it. Please help me decide and if you have negative things to say about it, you can say them, but just remember, I'm not some fitness hardcore junkie, I'm still only a beginner. Thanks in advance

Well I have the Ultra but I love it. I think it is accurate and very motivating. I love that it easily syncs w/MFP. I think the One syncs w/your iPhone - rather than just a computer too so you can keep up w/things during the day.

    Hi there,
I've pre-ordered mine from Amazon UK [not out here in England until 9th November]

I will then be testing it against the readings I get from my Heart Rate Monitor to get an idea of how accurate it is.
If you want I can PM you and let you know how it goes?

At £80 quid a pop I'm hoping it's going to immediately make my bum shrink an inch the minute I get it out of the box LOL

Errm... That's getting the FitBit out of the box....not my bum

For counting steps, etc, I think the fitbit ultra is great. It syncs calories burned to MFP, but I can never assume they are right. Most days mine goes down about 150 calories from when I log off at night, til I log back on in am & recheck the day before. I understand this to be that I am burning more calories early in the day, so it assumes I will keep up at that rate, but I don't usually do much at night. Still a little discouraging that this happens, but I just don't usually eat back quite as many as it says. Altho last night to this am it stayed the same. (not sure I have ever seen that happen). Nevertheless, I am very happy with it.
