I just found out that someone else is going to use my office on the 2 days I am not at work during the week. (Tues & Thurs)

so, here is my question::huh:

Do I need to remove my personal items from "our" office?
my children's pictures, motivational notes, hand lotion, snacks, firefighter calendar?!?

    Did you ask your superior these questions? I'm sure they'd be the one to ask. It would be dependent if you're sharing the space (Meaning the desk is no longer yours) or the desk is still yours, but someone is using it while you're out. I don't know if I'd trust the person not to use my stuff though. But that's up to you.

    Leave the hand lotion and kleenex.

    ..and maybe the firefighter calendar.

    No, but you could clear off a space for them on the desk to work if it is cluttered and leave a note saying, "if you need a pen, they're in the desk drawer!" or "help yourself to ___________ if you need one."
