Net Calories

Please tell me my net calories can be under 1200. I am finding it hard to eat enough food so I can workout for that day and meet a net calorie goal of 1200. I like to workout. When I workout I like to burn around 500 calories. I am asking this half way through my journey because I am at the point where everything I do works with or against me. The way I have been doing it the past few days is eating 1500 calories and burning around 500. Day I dont workout I will eat the same amount of calories. Will this work against me?

If you are over 200 netting 1500 will still provide weight loss. It is better to lose slowly and learn better habits and keep it off than quick weight loss and gain it back. If you are working out 1200 may not be enough.0

Um ... you've lost 60 pounds! Clearly what you're doing is working. Why mess with it?0

If it aint broke dont try and fix it!0 -
When you plateau, you will probably have to raise your calories. As you get closer to your goal, your weight loss will slow.0

Well thats just it. Its easy to lose 60 lbs when you weight 260 to start. Thats roughly 4000 calories a day to maintain that weight. All I had to do was eat 2000 calories and I dropped the weight.
At 206 lbs I started to gain a little back. I knew this was my struggle area. I started doing what I listed about and I dropped down to 200 lbs. I am fine with losing slow. I want to lose it slower because I dont want too much extra skin. I just feel overwhelmed.
Wanted to see if anyone out there had some scientific knowledge to this lol. I guess I can keep at this rate and keep doing what I am doing.0 -
I wish I agreed. I started at 239 10 weeks ago and have only lost 12 lbs. I havn't lost ANY in the past 5 weeks. I have been exercising 4 days/wk. Jogging, push ups, jumping jacks. I eat 1200 cals/day. Why am I not losing? I feel like giving up!0

Please read this. There is a reason and proof behind its success. I'm 5'3' and will never only eat 1200 calories. And I lost weight beautifully this way. And yes, eating more than 1200 is very easy when you learn how. This website will help you include working out and eating so you don't have to deal with all the numbers MFP gives you.
