Whoever started this post..gosh.have so much joy in my heart..I love the 80's love songs..
anything from JOURNEY..Oh, and AIR SUPPLY..
I met and partied with Loverboy..yep, really. They even took me the concert in their bus, and before hand, went to the mall w/me to get new "headbands"..ha ha ha
Met them at the Holiday Inn..where I worked when I was 19, and I was swimming..they joined me.
Also had the immense PRIVILEGE to met and have a soda with Willie Nelson. Awesome!:blushing:

"Where Are You Now?" by Jimmy Harnen with Synch

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ev4tIDEnmps

I don't know if it got much national play, but Jimmy was a local boy, so we heard it a lot in Northeast PA.

I also had a guy dedicate the song to me in a lip sync contest because he was "in love" with me and I wouldn't go out with him. It didn't help.

I like the song, but I agree with your friend, too.

And Kip Winger singing, "She's only seventeen... Daddy say she's too young, but she's old enough for me..." sounds so much worse now at 40 than it did when I was 17 and thought Kip was just so dreamy.

Gotta admit, after sitting through two hours of torture last nite watching "Rock of Ages", this one wins for moldiest cheese...

Could have been the movie though that nailed the coffin, not sure...

OMG, there is a really funny clip from Saturday Night Live, maybe from the late 90s/early 00s about "I Just Died in your Arms Tonight". You might be able to find it on YouTube or something. It's about a couple who hires this wedding "band" and that's the only song they know how to play.
