Foods that fix those cravings?

I was wondering if anyone here has figured out what foods you subsitatue for the foods you crave before, during and after your period, I am always craving starchy foods but that is how I gain. Does anyone know some good foods?

  • I crave salt, pizza, and chocolate lol.
    I have a serving of the Quakes cheddar cheese rice cakes for my salt cravings (plus lots of water).
    For pizza I either try my best to ignore it, or I have one of the Lean Cuisine pizzas.
    Chocolate is tough. I usually will either have a Hostess 100 cal packs of the little chocolate cakes, or a Hershey's dark chocolate miniature that I eat sloooowly. I've been told having a cup of hot chocolate helps with the chocolate cravings, but it doesn't do anything for me.

    For starchy... it might sound weird, but when I really want some pasta or bread I have nonfat yogurt instead. It's the only thing that gives me that same feeling.
