It sounds like your blood sugar is crashing. It's a good idea to eat something every 3-4 hours to prevent this.

You should try eating a hearty snack that will tie you into dinner. Something with protein, carb, and maybe a healthy fat. You could even do a protein bar.

you could do yogurt, crackers, cheese strings, nuts

My current favorite is 2 quaker rice cakes (salt free) with 2 tbsp of almond butter.

that might not be enough. The banana is high in sugar and the popcorn is just a carb.
I find that eating something with protein and healthy fats will last longer. OH, and also high fiber.

Maybe you should try some protein for a snack. It will keep you fuller longer than the carbs will. I'm snacking on some edamame right now. Yummy and full of protein!!

    edit for spelling

Crystal you're always beating me to threads and taking the words right out of my mouth.

    PROTEIN PROTEIN PROTEIN!

Also, stop wasting your money on 100 calorie packs of crap. Just telling you what I've learned form experience.

edit: Well, 100 calorie bag of popcorn may be alright... I was referring to those awful 100 calorie packs of cookies and crackers and chips (oh my). What a waste of calories. But eat some cheese with your popcorn or a tablespoon of peanut butter with your banana instead of eating carbs + carbs. :flowerforyou:
Ever since I started adding protein to all meals and snacks I've been a lot more comfortable. I even just added 1/4 scoop whey protein powder to my 4oz yogurt. I won't be hungry for at least couple hours now. 4oz yogurt isn't filling any other way.

S'okay. Turns out I had more words than I thought (shocker).
  • Eat more protien during the day. I was the same way with night eating so I changed what I ate during the day and it really helped, 100 calories packs are good for a quick snack or the cookies are good if you want something sweet just make sure to pair them with something with protein like a shake. It will keep you fuller longer.

I have the same problem. I have tried protien bars and shakes and sometimes they work... sometimes they don't. What helps me the most is eating a little every couple of hours during the day... sadly for me thats not really possible with teaching. So I am trying to solve the problem another way with protien shakes.
