Interesting weighing situation.

So. I don't know if anyone else has faced this, but when I do weigh in - I usually do it first thing in the morning. That is, after washing my face and brushing my teeth. And then I do it again right after I step out of the shower - and sometimes, I find that taking a shower has apparently put something like 0.5 lbs on me. What?? So I've taken to using the average of the two figures. Can anyone explain? XD I'm thinking it's the water in the hair *nods*

  • Honestly it probably is the water. Knowing just a gallon of water weighs 8lbs, it seems incredibly likely that you have 0.5lb of water in your hair and weighing you down. Definitely go with the before weight!

Stop weighing before and after your shower. That's just pointless and obsessive.

Weirdly enough, your body absorbs some water through your skin while you shower. Not a lot, but added to the water that clings to your skin and hair, it can throw off your scale. I do, however, agree that you should try not to obsess. Once a day (or week, or month, or never) is fine since everything fluctuates constantly.

Ehh, I weigh in once a week :) And also, I just happened to do that once - and so I tried it the next week just to see if it held through. I'll keep your advice in mind though .......
