Caloric Consumption when Sick?

I woke up to a cold this morning and I can't exercise and I know you need to increase your caloric intake when you're ill but by how much? I'd rather not start gaining weight but the last couple of times I got sick it took me weeks to get over colds other people were getting over in days and I stayed at my normal caloric intake.

I'd probably adjust to maintenance calories.0

Wow, I must be really sick, why didn't I think of that? Thank you! I probably would have continued to research and gotten frustrated as hell.0
