What to do when sick?

I am a bit torn on this. I deeply hate being sick, and tend to be quite often since starting mfp. It seems my body is not capable of staying well and losing weight. Today, for example, I'm running a fever, and I have had like 5 colds since september.

It is not sustainable being ill this often. I know where the viruses come from (working with kids), but I feel the need to boost my immuno-defence system. How do I do this?

If anyone need stats: 1550 cals/day, 170cm tall, ~70kg (I don't own a scale...), somewhat active when not ill, want to do more exercise than I do right now.
