ok guys you may not want to weigh in on this. so i was wondering if anyone has noticed if certain foods make you period worse or better. i know i always want lots of chocolate but i try my best to stay away becuase it seems to make everything worse.

I always have green tea and since I crave carbs, I give in and have whole grains. I try to avoid too much sugar and chocolate because, as you said, it makes me crankier in the long run. I spend more time in the gym, too - that way, people I love don't have to put up with me0

Chocolate always makes it better for me. Unfortunately. *sigh*0

I haven't really found anything makes it better or worse. Maybe make sure your iron is kept up though!
For the most part, I try to ignore it altogether, along with the symptoms.
I have given up blaming any choices I make on it, I can still control what I eat, and still exercise and all that junk.0 -
I get major fatigue so midol helps with that but at the same time I just want chocolate which then makes my cramps and bleeding worse. I try to stick to normal habits just cut out any sweets no matter what my body thinks it wants. Thanks all I definitely will look into iron too that may be some of it.0

I agree that chocolate and carbs make me feel MUCH better. I will own it's totally a psychological thing - there is nothign better than a big ol' peice of chocolate cake to take the TOM blues away.
I DO find that I can not drink enough water during that time, though. I'm always thirsty and I feel run down and gross if I don't have water in my hand constantly.0
