Hello,

Quick question. During the end of October I was diagnosed with Sever Bronchitis and was immeditely put on steriods and rest followed by antibiotics. I am finishing up my last day of antibiotics today. It haven't noticed any chest pressure but also I really haven't experienced any other side effects (no mucus cough, runny nose, etc) When is a good time to start incorporating exercise? I am thinking about maybe a brisk walk on my treadmill tonight. It has been two weeks since I last exercised and I am going a little crazy.

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

If they put you on steroids it must have been pretty bad. I'd stick with walking for now, even keep it at less than a 'brisk' pace, and stop if you feel short of breath or squeezing.

& if they gave you a puffer, use it beforehand

Yea, they thought it was pneumonia at first but chest Xray came back negative. At first they told me to wait on the steriods but the pressure in my upper back and chest wouldn't relieve until i was on the steriods. So I guess it was worse than I thought. I still have some puffs in the puffer so I will make sure to take a puff before starting.

Thank you for your insight. Very helpfull :)

I missed a couple of weeks of running due to a bad cold / bronchitis. If you needed meds I'd take the time to make sure you're fully recovered....+1 on walking for now.
