Hey, all. I have been using mfp for about two months now, and am looking to broaden my support group. I have lost seven pounds so far, and am currently striving to drop about 43 more to get me back to my old weight and size (163 size 12). Once I am there I can re *kitten* and decide whether I wish to lose more or not.
I was never taught proper nutrition or how to balance my diet, so it is empowering learning to do these things as an adult. I am trying to make small changes that I can maintain for the rest of my life. I have no more interest in fast weight loss, crash diets, or starving to death because I am trying to drop twenty pounds in one month. I spent the past six years doing that stuff after I gained weight, and it never got me anywhere. I am slowly learning to live a healthier lifestyle without having to deprive myself.
I've got no interest in being stick thin or anything, because my natural body size is around a size 10-12, and I personally love my hips, butt, and boobs, and feel that true health can be achieved by a gal with an ample bottom.
I am trying to get to a point where I am working out for about forty five minutes a day every day. I'm interested in feeling strong and flexible, and staying more active. I hike and swim a lot when the weather is warmer, and I do not want to laze around all winter. I want to have a strong workout routine in place by the end of December.
My big goals are to drop 43 more pounds by my thirtieth birthday (nine months away) which equals somewhere around a 4.7 pound loss a month. We plan on moving to Sarasota, FL next August or September, and I truly want to use the time I have left here wisely. I am trying to let go of old patterns and habits that have been holding me back, so I can be my most authentic and happy self.
Add me as a friend so we can support each other. My diary is open, and I am looking for somebody to kick me in the *kitten* if I am not working out daily.
