So this is literally my second day of doing this, but yesterday I lost .8lbs by only adding coconut oil to me diet. So, I am taking a very healthy approach to this WOE... green leafy vegetables for my carb allowances (the ones with the nutrients), lean protiens, and lots of healthy vegetable fats like EVO, CO, and avacado. Anyone else did/doing this kind of diet?

Be careful with how much of the oil you use: I had a friend doing that approach and let's just say she needed to call out of work one day because she could not be too far away from her bathroom... you might want to go easy on it until your body gets used to it. Just sayin'.

As for low carb, yes I've done it and it worked wonders for me. Unfortunately, right now, it's not a way of eating I can follow strictly enough to do what needs to be done.

High fat and low carbohydrates is one of the best ways to lose body fat.

Yes, you need healthy fats (HDLs) to lose weight. Excess carbohydrates do more damage than excessive healthy fats but the industry is built on the fact that fats are bad and make you gain weight.

If you exercise, limit your carbohydrates to as little as possible until post work out then use them for what they are inteneded, to resupply glycogen to your muscles not to be consumed and stored as excess fat which is why so many people fail in their diets.

Such a low response for this thread which is one of the few true statements about weight loss and macronutrients to be published in this forum.

Congratulations, keep up the high fat (and protein) and low carb approach and you'll see results you never expected.
