What do you look for when you are looking for friends on here....
I guess I kind of picky because I basically look for people that are ACTIVE and if they are offline for 3 days... I just delete them...
What is your cut line?? why do you dismiss friends???
Oh and cursing... and negative feedback lol

I look for people who have similar goals or who are really struggling to get healthy and need support and encouragement. I know what it's like to need to lose a phenomenal amt. of wt. I also look for people that are around my age group, but I truly accept anyone who wants help.
I go through my friend's list and delete people that have been active for over a month. I always like to give them a couple wks. because they may be on vacation or something. I was off-line for the first time since last December due to having to have major abdominal surgery and was hospitalized for 10 days. I would have been upset if someone had deleted me. I did tell everyone that I was supposed to be in for 2-3 days...but there are always complications to deal with.
I accept negative feedback if they are right...not enough veggies, fruits, etc, or too much sodium or fats. I accept rants and raves but do not like cursing.0 -
Good attitudes are great- also not beating up on themselves...it gets hard to bear when someone is all "why oh why can't i lose the weight, get motivated, change, blah blah.." JUST DO IT-- yeah, pretty sure those are some famous words with a lot of meaning behind them.
I love hearing about someone feeling better than yesterday, giving themselves (and thus, their friends) a new challenge and I know that helps us all push ourselves and each other.
I used to unfriend after someone hadn't been active for a while, but in all reality, if I get tired of hearing their rants, or they haven't been online for a while, I just "hide" their posts from my wall, then I don't worry about it. I go through my friends list periodically and make sure to touch base with most (if not all) and reach out and let them know I was thinking about them or their particular situation.
For many, this site can become another social vortex to get swept up in. Refocusing is essential when I find this happening in my life. USE THIS AS A TOOL! Yes, it is nice to be able to talk to others, or ham it up, but this site is MY FITNESS PAL.... so, yeah.... keep the fitness in there, and some pals are good, just remember WHY YOU CAME HERE in the first place and it'll help you stay motivated in the right direction.
I also like people who bake or cook- I'm a great baker and I love sharing and learning new recipes. As for cooking--- I'm learning.0 -

I think that counts to some degree.Don't be afraid to try something from scratch- It is rewarding to know YOU CREATED THAT, and there were no boxes involved.
