30 Pounds in the past 7 weeks... Hoping to speed up!

So I've lost 30 pounds in 7 weeks! I eat only fruits, vegetables, and lean meats, and I run everyday. Everyone says you can tell I've lost weight, but I can only tell because of my loose clothes... the mirror doesn't tell me though. What do you guys think?

30 in 7 weeks? That's fantastic dude! Any faster might not be healthy and sustainable. Just have some patience.
  • yeah thats roughly 4 lbs a weeks and they say healthy weight loss is 1-2 a week. so your doing good, dont want to lose to much!
  • Thats really amazing mate!! Im losing about 1 pound a week at the moment but i accept this because i know i can contiune doing this forever, its not a change in diet its a change in lifestyles, its no good just losing it and then stopping because you will gain it, i would be happy with my progress if i were you!

It takes a while to be able to see if for yourself. I am up to 100 pounds lost now, and I am just now starting to really SEE it. But you are losing weight pretty fast already, I don't think you need to speed it up!! Congrats on the 30 pounds!

I can't see your pictures, but congratulations on your weight loss. I definitely wouldn't recommend speeding up the rate at which you're losing. If anything, I'd aim to lose it a bit slower now, after that initial loss. Losing as fast as possible is not necessarily the best or healthiest way in the long run. Apart from anything else, you risk losing too much muscle mass as you go, which is probably not what you want. I'm honestly not trying to rain on your parade though - well done and keep up the hard work and motivation! :flowerforyou:

ETA: after 80 lbs, the mirror doesn't show me much progress either! I think it takes time for your brain to catch up, but make sure to take progress pictures along the way as they can really help.
