Sorry I normally would not post something like this on here but I am in a bit of a bind and need some help. My dog has ruptured her cruciate ligament in her leg and I need to get surgery done on it.. I was wondering if anyone knows of a vet that can do this type of surgery.. Mine is asking $3200 and I do not have this type of money but am going to get fixed.. If you know of cheaper or a vet with payment plans please let me know.. I am officially desperate

Your poor doggy. I hope someone can give you a good suggestion. I too would struggle to find that much money for surgery.0

Sorry to hear about your dog.
I'm not sure if this will help, but I had a fantastic vet when I lived in Toronto. I can't remember the name of his practice, but he's located in a plaza on Ellesmere Rd on the south side just west of McCowan Road in Scarborough. It's in a small plaza right across from the Scarborough municipal buildings. His name is Jim. I wish I could tell you more. I'm not sure about his payment plans or his surgical skills, but I do know from personal experience he is very compassionate. I'll post more info if I can find it, but I live in the UK now!0 -
I hope you get answers so you can get your cardio buddy back in shape my MFP friend :flowerforyou:
So I am bumping this to the top for you.0 -
Jim was recommended to me by a friend's wife. I've dashed an email off for contact details. As soon as I get an answer I'll forward them.0

I am in UK and we have charity vets do you have anything like that where you live?
Ours are RSPCA and PDSA there must be some charity organisation that can help?
I know this is like closing the gate after the horse has bolted, but it is so important to have pet insurance. Ours in UK is about £65 for the year.
But hope you get your pet sorted xxxxx0 -
I hate when animals are in pain. It makes me so upset.
Hope your dog gets the care she needs and deserves. Good luck.0 -

i highly suggest calling Burgess Animal hospital in Cambridge. I was quoted between 6 and 700 to get my cats absessed tooth pulled and Burgess quoted under 200 for everything. A lot of people have amazing stories about Burgess.0

Check with your local animal humane society, they usually have a list of clinics that could possibly meet your needs. I know they offer reduced fee neutering based on income, maybe they offer more services than that, definitely worth a phone call. Good luck.0
