This might not be the right thing to do but if it was me I would have a cup of soup before I left home so I would be able to make better choices and maybe not be so hungry. Not that your a hungry person but that if you don't feel like eating as much you will not be as tempted. That and take a calorie counter with you of some kind. If you want something that will put you over your limit then find out what you are willing to give up the rest of the week. Or just eat it and be reasonable and exercise off the excess on another day. Or you could cut calories today and exercise extra today to allow for your favorites.0

If you know where you are going possibly they have nutritional information online so you can look before you go. If not then you can eat less today and tomorrow and enjoy your dinner, OR if you exercise you can go for a good workout. If you go over just eat less the next few days after
One day is not going to kill you. Don't panic Have fun! Average your calories over the week to reduce your stress and weigh yourself less often too. Drink lots of water to compensate for any extra sodium and just get back to your healthier habits as soon as you can.

Calories don't count for your birthday dinner. But seriously - one day a year will not to any damage to anything. Drink extra water tomorrow to flush out the sodium and you'll be fine. Have fun, enjoy and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!0
