Should I shred?

I'm contemplating doing the 30 day shred (I wanna make onederland before I go home for Christmas and surprise my family sooo bad), but I've never done something extreme like this. Is it something that someone who's pretty week who also has to go to class can do? Also, does the 20 minute work out replace any other cardio you usually do, or should I still do 30 minutes on regular cardio.
(And ladies, as the workout is a month long, how did you deal with cramping and such?)

Just try it. If it's too hard for you right now you can modify it until you're ready. You have to start somewhere.0

I started a few days ago. Did day 1 and it kicked my butt that my thighs were sore. So skipped a day but started again last night!!! I modify the push ups since I SUCK at them.0

The most difficult is to make yourself start and stick with it after the first couple of days. The fist day (I now counted it as -1 day) I did the exercises without any weights, I was moving my hands in the direction. But now have added weights, and you can use soup cans, water/juice bottles, heavy books, big rocks. You can get the 30day shred in the befit channel, from youtube. Start today!0
