Alright, seasoned runners, I need some help. I got some cramping right underneath my sternum during my run last night. It was the first times it's happened since I started running, and it REALLY hurt!

How do I combat that? What might have caused it? What do you guys do when it happens to you?! Thanks, in advance, for your suggestions. :drinker:

A side stitch, often caused by not taking deep breaths or hunching forward when you run. If you feel it start take some really deep breaths in through your nose and blow it out your mouth. Pull your shoulders back and stand up straight, if you don't mind looking really goofy throw your hands up over your head.

This....And don't worry about looking goofy, it's still better than running with a stitch!:flowerforyou:
Did you drink anything shortly before your run? - if I do or drink more than a sip or two during, it happens too...
