Feeling Weak and Fainting

I started my journey in August of last year. Since then, I have lost just under 70 lbs. As I knew it would, this has made a lot of changes to my body. I stopped tracking in March/April, after hitting my first GW, and I was very happy with where I was at weight wise. While I was in the middle of the weight loss, I felt great. I had never felt better. Once I started maintaining is when I started noticing a difference in how I felt. I feel very weak and light-headed almost all the time. I've actually lost consciousness on a few occasions over the last few months, most recently being last weekend in the shower. I saw the doctor in the summer, and she did blood tests and everything came back good. Aside from having low blood sugar and low blood pressure, everything was fairly normal. She told me that she doesn't want me to lose any more weight. I am by no means underweight, so that's not the issue here. I am 5'7" and currently 174 lbs. I am so close to my new GW of 160.
I started tracking again a couple weeks ago and I was eating about 1400-1500 calories a day, but have recently upped it to 1600-1800 for a rate of a1/2 lb a week. I noticed the feeling weak and dizziness got much worse once I started counting again. I am not starving myself. I can't stress that enough. I try to eat back my exercise calories and my daily net is usually hovering right around 1450. This number will hopefully even be a little higher now that I have upped my calories. I am perfectly happy with losing at a lower rate, as I know it is better for my body that way. I just don't want to take the doctors advice and stop completely.
I know this is best left for a doctor to give advice on. I have another appointment with her later this month. Basically, I am just wondering if anyone else who has lost a significant amount of weight has experienced any of this?

could have something to do with the low BP and glucose. I would listen to the doctor for now. Track those symtoms as well as your diet so she can get a really clear picture.

It can be so many things. Low iron, low blood sugar, vertigo, low blood pressure
I had that and was wondering what was going on with me until I stopped a certain natural product. I am in the very low % that get dizzy when taking it.
The best thing is to have some blood work. I hope you will feel better soon.0 -
Are you keeping anything out of your diet, like carbs? Maybe it's not how much you're eating, but rather what you're eating. Also, how's your water intake? I've been feeling a similar way. In fact, last Saturday my hubby took me to a museum and I fainted for the first time in my life right in the middle of the tour! I had eaten, but I hadn't had much water. Your BP and sugar levels are the culprit, I'm sure... If you're working on controlling your sugar intake, perhaps you should back off a bit? Good luck! :flowerforyou:0

Sounds like low iron or low blood sugar. I have both. Go to your doctor ASAP and they can help you0

I'm not eating low anything, just watching calories. I don't like chocolate or sweets, so that might contribute to the low blood sugar levels, but I do eat fruits because I know I need the sugars. It can't be a water thing, because I drink a lot of it. I actually had a doctor tell me I needed to drink less once because it was bringing my sodium down too much. Seriously, a doctor saying to drink less water and eat more sodium.. never thought I'd hear that, haha. I'll have to look into something for my blood pressure maybe when I am there this month. It's just frustrating because I don't want to stop losing weight like she has suggested.0
