Low cal ginger bread cookies? Any ideas?

Hi guys! The holiday season is almost there and it leaves me with a poblem. I am quite famous amongh my family and friends and co-workers for baking ginger bread cookies. They are delicious but unfortunately they are also a real diet screwer. I aleady had requests fom people to bake some cookies and I would gladly comply if it was suposed to be one time thing. The thing is that judging bay last few years it will be more like a constant thing for over a month. I aleady promised people to bake but warned everybody that this time it will be something different than normaly ... which leaves me with a problem. I have no recipie! Does any of you have an idea for low cal ginge brread or ginger bread cookies I could bake instead?

Go to spark people,com and click on 100 calorie desserts and look for Holiday Spice Cutout Cookies-I think these might work for you and they got a very high rating. Good luck in your healthy, holiday mission!

What's your current recipe?
Does it involve - shortening, butter, vegetable oil, olive oil, hemp oil, corn... you get the idea.... replace it 1:1 with unsweetened apple sauce... at least in cakes / breads it works. It's time for me to ramp up my baking and I did it last year for a pumpkin loaf, replaced 4000 calories of oil with 100 calories or so of apple sauce... really knocks down the calorie count and didn't change the texture noticeably to anyone that had eaten them previously.
