too much protein?

I try to eat foods high in fiber and protein but all of a sudden I started gaining weight without changing my calories. I noticed some days my protein intake was pretty high. Could this be causing the weight gain?. I don't know if it matters or not but the gain is in my stomach.

How much are you consuming? It can cause some people bloating just like carbs do. How much water are you drinking?0

My doctor put me on a high protein diet and lower carbs. I have lost wt. with this diet. I was so huge when I started all my fat settled in my stomach. I expected the flab hanging down, but my stomach is still big and everything else is looking good. Please feel free to add me for support and encouragement. I eat 75-100 gms. of protein daily or at least that is my goal.0
