Can your body get used to running on a treadmill and not burn as many calories?
I run everyday for about 5-6 miles on the treadmil

In short, yes. As you get fitter it will take less effort for you to do any sort of exercise. If you're noticing that it's getting too easy, try mixing it up a bit and add in some hill programmes or interval training.
(or, if you can, take it outside. Unless you live somewhere totally flat, outside running is generally harder than a treadmill once you add in wind resistance, uneven ground etc).0
