Some people don't want to know what cals they burn. They only want to focus on heart rate or keeping their heart rate at a certain number.
Or they like doing maths.0 -
thank you ! think i need to get one that tells me calories burned not so good with the Math!0

The point is that it cost 30 bucks versus $100+. You can get the calculators for free on the internet.
The gross calories burned: http://www.shapesense.com/fitness-exercise/calculators/heart-rate-based-calorie-burn-calculator.aspx
Then convert to net calories: http://www.shapesense.com/fitness-exercise/calculators/net-versus-gross-calorie-burn-conversion-calculator.aspx
Then you record the next calories burned. Super easy and it requires you to copy and paste twice. No math to do.0 -
The best use for a HRM is to regulate the intensity of your workout (which requires a little research to know what you want to do).
The calorie burning is secondary (not to mention highly inaccurate). You can find that information for free online (look for sites that require your gender, weight, and body fat %)0 -
