I was thinking about reasons of why I'm doing this, why I'm trying to lose weight...and I thought "it'd be nice to never hear 'You have such a pretty face' ever again." Who the heck thinks that's an acceptable compliment, anyways?? Ugh!

I know this is something that bothers some people. I never really understood why. Mandy....you DO have a really pretty face though lol. Even when you do lose all the weight that you want to...people will probably still compliment you on your pretty face! Not to sound like a total lesbian LOL but you have cute rosy cheeks, nice full lips and big, bright eyes. All of that = a pretty face. I don't think you should take it as a bad thing

My problem with it is that there is a difference between "you have such a pretty face" and "you're so pretty."The such a pretty face thing seems like there should be "if you weren't so fat" after it.

I understand what you're saying. But even when people tell me I am pretty I don't take it well. I have such a distorted self image I always see something wrong with any compliment. I'm trying to work on that though!
