Go to gym or take off...

Last night, after being in an all day meeting I officiated 2 basketball games and my large muscular calves turned on me and started to cramp. At a timeout I got them stretched out but had issues sleeping as i got more cramps. Today my calves are sore and I am not sure if I should go to the gym and do cardio or take the day off. I have 3 games, less than an hour each and not real up and down the court, on Sunday, 2 on Tuesday and 2 more Thursday. Any input is appreciated. Please explain why you chose cardio or no cardio...
