Endomodo app

So I just installed the endomodo app onto my smartphone. Does anyone know how accurate it is? As in speed, and calories burned. I linked it to mfp account, and I ran for two minutes to test it out, it said I was going 4 mph (I know, slow.. I'm just starting). It added my two minutes automatically to my account here, but it said I walked for two minutes at 2mph, and burned 3 calories. So I'm confused now. Anyone use this app for running with tips? Maybe I'm running WAY slower than I think! Lol!

Side by side with my HRM (Polar FT 7) it's very accurate! I'm feeling pretty good about using it when I don't feel like getting all strapped in, or if I'm doing a lot more walking around than I expected I can whip it out confidently. I haven't tried the bike, running, just the walking. I walk faster than the database in MFP. I haven't gone "pro" but I'm very happy with it! Especially the automatic posting to MFP and "free" price.

When walking I have done extra just to make my ending map more interesting. So it's been incentive to walk more.

I use both Endomondo and a Garmin GPS watch and I find Endomondo to be very close. They are never spot on, but the difference is negligible. I also use a FitBit which syncs to MFP. When it transfers over it tends to be pretty accurate (in calories). I would recommend going for a half hour walk and see if what comes over is more accurate. I'm not exactly sure how it picks what it does as far as description, but the calories are typically pretty accurate.

Thanks guys! I guess I've been running a lot slower than I realized. Time for me to pick up the pace!
