It will be transparent with a little ring around it. Check a couple of grains, they should sort of pop in your mouth. Don't wait for all the water to absorb like the package says, in my experience that never happens and I overcook it if I wait. Enjoy!

You'll see little curls, spirals, separated from the seeds. Enjoy!

I was worried there was still too much moisture. Didn't let it get completely dry (I also hate when foods stick to the pot, or worse, scorch). It was delicious! Thanks, everyone.

I have leftovers - can I heat it back up in the microwave? I might make a lunch of the remaining Cornish game hen and quinoa for work on Monday.

I cook it EXACTLY like I cook white rice.
  • My friend says it looks like large sperm! bahaha...
  • I do 10-15 minutes, just ate some for dinner!

Yes you can re-heat it. Another option if you don't want to heat it up is to mix it in with a salad.
