How to measure meat by weight

Do you measure your food before or after you cook it? I have heard both is ok - but not sure. Do I count 3 oz of burger before or after cooking? hummm

    Measure it raw. Nutrition label is for whatever is in the package which would be raw.

    Meat is raw weight unless specified otherwise but weighing raw is more accurate because cooking methods vary.
