I just joined

I have gained a lot of weight related to smoking cessation, inactivity, wrong diet (and trying every diet out there), long ter steriod use because of breathing issues, muscle weakness because of steroids, and breathing issues. I feel like I am in a vicious cycle with no end in sight. I can't work out on the treadmill like I used to. I can't dance like I used to. I just learned how to swim a few months ago, and I'm not very good at it. On the positive, I'm off steroids for now, my breathing is better (still on lots of meds), I work full-time, I have a wonderful husband, children, grandchildren, friends and home. I enjoy hunting with my husband (which I can't walk through the woods anymore), deep sea fishing (which because of muscle weakness I have trouble doing), dancing, and helping other people.

Hi, my name is Kimberlee, 49. I am married, but have no children. I have been overweight all my life and didn't think that I could ever lose wt. when I started this journey 14 mos. ago. I am physically disabled, so I understand the problems with exercise. I do some kind of exercise every day, though, even if it's only cleaning the house or cooking. Those are both hard for me to do because of the neuropathy in my feet and legs, but I push myself because it has to be done. Feel free to add me. I have COPD, heart disease, diabetes, and a lot of other problems. I can help support and encourage you.
