Need help choosing, please

Honey Rosemary Filet*

An 8 oz. tenderloin marinated in honey, soy sauce, garlic, olive oil and fresh rosemary. Served with onion strings, garlic mashed potatotes and fresh broccoli. (miunus the potatoes)

Grilled Salmon Oscar*

Atlantic salmon charbroiled and topped with steamed asparagus spears, lump crab meat, broccoli and hollandaise sauce on wild rice pilaf. (minus pilaf)

Mediterranean Chicken*

Chicken breast on wild rice and fresh broccoli. With bruschetta tomatoes, onions and a balsamic reduction. (minus rice)

I plan on eliminating all starchy foods and instead for sides adding broccoli, asparagus and a side salad. (I won't eat it all tonight more than likely).

I'll also be getting in my 8 glasses today and then have an alcoholic beverage at dinner.

I'm REALLY trying to watch my carbs and sodium and sugar intake.

I think I'd avoid the filet because of the sodium in the soy sauce. I'd probably go for the salmon and skip the sauce as well, or ask for it on the side. It's great that you are planning ahead.

Of those three I'd choose the chicken. Wouldn't have the filet because of the marinade and the fried onion strings.
And living in Alaska, I wouldn't touch farmed salmon.

I am thinking the salmon with sauce on the side would be wisest, thanks guys.

Chicken sounds good, and balsamic vinegar is pretty good, even when reduced.

I would do the filet w/o the fried onions with the potatoes and put half of all of it in a to-go box for the next day. Eat slowly and savor every bite.

I agree no farm raise salmon for me either yuck

Eat what seems to be the most delicious.

Where do you think most of all the chicken, beef, and pork come from? Unless you are buying 100% organic, free-range, etc, than farmed salmon isn't much different.

Wonderful helpful tips everyone, thankyou! I HOWEVER didn't end up going out because I measured myself and lost 5 1/2 inches during the course of 1 week by watching my intake so I didn't go and instead made a healthier choice at home :)

I was going to say to choose the food you rarely cook at home and/or looks the most delicious. When I go out, I eat things my family doesn't really enjoy. That....or the most expensive thing on the menu if someone is taking me out. I would eat any of those three choices and fit it into my diary but I eat enough chicken. Bring on the beef!
