I went to the farmer's market today. I have never seen this vegetable before. I decided to buy one, just to give it a try. I've read that it is great raw and on a salad.

Has anyone ever cooked this veggie? If so, what kind of dish did you serve it in/with?

    I LOVE Kohlrabi!
I ate it in Germany all the time, unfortunately in the US it's just so expensive.

I cut it in sticks, dip it in some yogurt dip with herbs and munch :)

To cook it, peel it, cut it in short sticks or chunks and boil in salted water until tender.
Then drain, return to pot with a bit of butter, season with pepper and fresh chopped parsley.

Tastes great as a side dish with any kind of meat.
