Is the Sugar allowance pretty accurate here? I have an allowance of 24 grams a day. One apple is 20 so that pretty much eats mine up and I'm generally over my goal. Should I cut the apple? Or is that considered good sugar? or is the allowance too low?

i go over on my sugar daily. the allowance is not set too low for added sugars, however it does not account for natural sugar. you definately should not be cutting fruit out of your diet, just make sure the sugar you are taking in is the natural kind from friuts and not added sugar from packaged food.

Congratulations on your minus 13! Though here just over a week, I hesitated to come back after a sloppy day. But I am more committed to wellness, discipline, and exercise which I did this morning. Thank you for your inspiration...and question.
  • definately keep the apple. The fiber is super good and it is true not just a saying, an apple a day keeps the Dr away!
