My sugar intake has been bad, let alone I'm not consuming as much vegetables as I like to. Do anyone know any veggie recipes so I can increase my veggie intake, pics would be a plus too :). Also any tips on slowing my sugar intake but still satisfy my sweet tooth.

  • I went cold turkey when cutting sugar, and it worked but now I've gone back to consuming (though in a more conscious way).
So I would say go gradually!
Cut white sugar the first week, and find subsitutes (honey, agave, stevia, are all good for coffes and teas and in recipes) while still using brown sugar. Then you could try to cut off packaged sweets, candy, and bake your own treats instead.
I've found that after a couple of weeks, you really get used to the real flavor of foods, and the same amount of sugar will taste almost gross! I couldn't stand tea if not with FOUR teaspoons of sugar A MUG! It was crazy. Now two teaspoons of honey and I'm golden!
    Biggest advice: read labels.
I couldn't believe where the eff sugar was being snuck into! (PESTO! like, seriously. basil and oil and nuts and...sugar?? Yep)

Roughly chop some tomatoes and red bell peppers, place on a baking tray, drizzle with some olive oil, spice with salt, pepper and basil..turn the oven up to 180c and roast until soft, maybe half an hour? . Chuck it all in a blender, add some water, and blend it up! :) yummy soup! What I love about this is that it's all natural, and
you know exactly what went into it...you can maybe add some carrots, or spinach, and even season it the way you like...but I really like soups when getting my calories in!
