Will i gain weight ???? want to go onto MAINTENECE!!!

Im happy with my weight loss, and am eating 1350 calories a week. Im thinking of going onto maintence, ive checked the numbers on my fitness pal and it says to eat 2000 calories!!!
That sounds like heaps! And how will it maintain?? If i have a bad day on my 1350 calories and eat up to 2000 calories i know i gain weight, or is that water weight???
Please help, i need to know from people who are in the maintenece part???

Figure out what tdee is and slowly Inc calories to that point.
slight water fluctuations are fine but any gains that last more than a few days would be counter productive.
once you figure out true tdee you can do anything.
    good luck!

If you didn't lose the weight rapidly via VLCD, then most of the temporary weight gain will come from water. If you lost the weight rapidly via VLCD, you will gain much of the fat back. So if you were patient and assumed a moderate deficit or less, then it'll be fine. Just do as Dan said and gradually increase calories over the course of two months or so to allow your RMR and metabolism to catch up. Once you hit body weight equilibrium, then that's your adjusted and actual TDEE.

Reached my goal last Nov, so I've been on maintenance for a year.
My weight has been as low as 2 below my goal and 3 above since then.
I was on a 500 cal/day deficit and hit the one pound per week pretty closely, losing 34 in 10 months.
On reaching my goal, I adjusted my daily calorie intake upward by 200.
I weighed every day just to see what was happening.
Using the scale in the warehouse at work (accurate to 0.1 pounds for shipping purposes), I was still losing, but very slowly.
So, I increased my allowable by 10, and continued to monitor my weight for a week at the new level.
    Still losing, but even slower.
    Increase again.
Just by taking baby steps, I tried to fine-tune the calorie limit.
Right now, I'm pretty static, so I think I've located my maintenance level.
Actually, it's harder to maintain a weight than it is to lose the weight!

I just figured out my TDEE on active and rest weeks.
Took about 2 months to figure out but it was well worth it.

Why does it sound like a lot? You obviously need to eat more to maintain your weight.. I don't see the issue. It would bump you up even more if your goal was to gain.

I agree with the others about adding cals in slowly (100 extra per day for a week, etc) until you stabilize. My TDEE is right around 2200-2300, and yes it sounds like a lot of calories at first but you will find ways to fit them in! I have started to eat more regular foods as opposed to fat free/low fat and that helps add calories without adding volume.

Good luck, and congrats on your weight loss! :)
