Need to lose 1 stone and need help!

Ive been going the gym around 3-5 times a week and have been trying to eat less calories for about 3 weeks. I'm 146 pounds at the moment and cant seem to loose any weight even though i burning about 500 calories in the gym and trying to eat 1200-1500 calories a day. Any tips? I need to lose 14 pounds to reach around 133 pounds

My advice would be just to be patient and keep at it.
3 Years ago I weighed in at over 240lb and following a personal tradegy I got back into running to raise money for charity. I kept the running up and lost around 56lb and then platteaud and couldn't lose any more despite the distances I was covering and the calories I was burning every week. A friend of mine suggested this site 3 months ago and I have now lost a further 14lb just by simply understanding what I'm eating as well as how much I was eating. I have another 3lb to lose to reach my goal and I am running faster and further now then I was doing 20 years ago.
One thing that you may be finding is that due to the gym work you are doing your body is probably toning up. You may be burning fat but building muscle. Muscle is heavier then fat and as a result you might actually be doing better then you realise. Don't just focus on your weight but also focus on your body shape and clothing size, you might find your clothes are getting baggier due to your body getting more toned.

I'm stuck too! Only half way to were I want to be, started being serious about losing the next 30lbs 40 days ago today. Started running about 3 weeks ago almost and the scale hasn't budged. Wahh.0

Do you do the same thing at the gym time you go? It may be worth switching it up, because your body is expecting what to do, I love the treadmill and could happily spend an hour on it, but I mix it up with different machines and then by doing things with weights, the kettle bell for instance, doing kettle bell swings I find works my whole body and I can really feel it! I just up the time or do more sets and not keep it the same, if that makes sense! It's easy at this point to give up when you stop seeing change, but just keep at it! You'll notice change if you keep going!! Hope this helps! Good luck0

After a large quick weight loss I platued and was stuck at 76kg with 6kg left to loose. I reached out on here and asked for help, I used to work hard in the gym and eat well but just stopped loosing. the advice I was given was to use my exercise caleries. And it kick started my metabolism. Now 6montgs on I've lost 4.5 of them kg. With 1.5kg to hit my end of yr target. Really think I'm gonna hit it.

3lb loss is about right for 3 weeks coops, patience child in the last 5 weeks Iv only lost 5 half lb xx0
