Christmas, again... but...

I've never posted here, and laugh that MFP tells me I have no friends. Ha! Then again tried posting on the FitBit site and no one wants to talk to me! Maybe I will better luck here!!

Anyway, I bought a FitBit last February and started using MFP after seeing my Christmas pictures last year. Not good. So for 9+ months I have worn the FitBit, forgot it, journaled, didn't journal, etc. Fail. Christmas pix this year I will be hiding.

HOWEVER I have decided to start again TODAY. No waiting till New Year's resolution. No eating Christmas candy thinking I will start again "tomorrow". I may not like the pix this year, but I will be on my way.

Anyone want to re-dedicate themselves today with me? Anyone have tried and tried ways to make it through the holidays?

For me: WALK, JOURNAL, LOSE.

My holiday game plan is have a walk or run at some point in the day and to eat a little bit of what ever I really want but totally skip stuff that I can have any time or that I'm not really in the mood for. I'm not taking corn just because it's there. Enjoy the day, cut out stuff that you don't care about and find ways to sneak in a workout. Then don't live off of left overs for a week. A few bites of something is all you really need to enjoy it. Good luck and great job starting again now and not waiting til new years.

Feel free to add me. I log every day and I drop in and check on my friends everyday. I have set myself some very realistic and attainable goals. My primary focus is health and well being. The big bonus is shedding weight.

I applaud you for taking action now rather than waiting. Good luck with the lifestyle change.

Well, it sounds like you need someone to at least recognize you exist. I don't need a re-dedication, but I'll help support yours if I can. Just do whatyou can to stay on plan. Be patient. Take it a moment at a time if need be. You can do it!

Thanks for the responses! I have a skinny husband, whom I love, but.. ha! He is supportive, but I think having MFP friends may be more effective for my goals!! =)

Also, the holiday idea of getting up off of the couch and taking a walk sound good and gets the family out from in front of the TV. I actually like football, but I like seeing some of my family that I see rarely better.

    Good luck to everyone!
