Insanity is more cardio and P90X is more weights-based. It all depends on what you want to do. Insanity's workouts are shorter too, in month one. Both are great programs and will help with weight-loss and strength. Good luck!0

I've been looking at both of these as well. I still have a lot of weight to lose but I'm more interested in decreasing my body fat, losing inches and getting smaller than I am in worrying about how much I weigh. I lift weights 2 or 3 times a week but don't really do any cardio.0

depends on the mood, but to me insanity is all about pushing when P90X is about having fun.
roughly all the workouts in insanity feel at least as intense as plyometrics but usually it's more intense.
What I like about insanity is that Shaun is a good motivator and the fact that it takes less time and requires no equipment.
Doing the Asylum series right now (which requires some equipment) and I really love it0 -
They are two completely different programs. Insanity is all cardio based while P90x is strength training with a little bit of cardio. Depends on your goals, but I would do a hybrid of the two of them.0

Personally, I have done 3 rounds of P90X, and just today started Insanity. I am glad that I stared with P90x. Insanity is really tough, and not sure I would keep going had I not already done p90x. If you are not used to high intensity cardio, I would definitely start with P90X.0

both are fabulous..it depends on what you like to accomplish with your physical fitness.0

Exactly - you want a great cardio burn Insanity is the way to go. You will build muscle with insanity but you will do it with no weights. You do it with push ups and dips. P90X mixes weight and cardio. I have done hybrid workout twice using P90X as the main workout the first time and using Insanity as the main workout the second time. Both of the workouts are great and i think you would enjoy either one. Hope this helps0 -
I did 1 and half rounds of p90x, Currently doing Insanity and I love it! I have lost inches, feels amazing. I don't like lifting weights so This is probably why I love insanity because you don't lift weights, at least within 5 weeks I havent had to. starting week 6 today. ( i also did 20 weeks of turbo fire which definitely got me ready for insanity)
so for me Insanity is better0
