First stupid question this week...

A friend of mind asked if i was looking a little thinner these days and i replied "Yes but i dont seem to be loosing it from my Man Boobs and Gut so far"...
At this point the office know it all chirped in and said " You loose weight from your head first them dropping down the body towards your feet ", I looked at him smiled and walked off....
Is there any truth in what he says or is it just more diffcult to visually spot weight dropping off in the more fatty areas such as the stomach ???

The office smart *kitten* does not know it all, it seems! That's a ridiculous notion. If that was true, few people would have double chins.....0

You can't lose weight (fat) from a given area. You just lose weight. You might gain muscle/tone up in a specific area, but the fat is still there, so if you want to lose weight from a specific area, you just have to keep losing weight generally. I think.0

It just depends on the individual. My understanding is that men generally hang onto the spare tire on their gut and women generally have difficulty with hips, butt,, and thighs. Naturally, this isn't a universal truth. It's true, though, that you can't spot reduce. Maybe top down just happens to be the order in which your coworker lost weight before?0
