DnD in-store coffee vs home brew for calories?

So I love flavored coffees and just saw Dunkin Donut's new peppermint mocha bag when I stopped in to get coffee. I have been searching online to find nutritional information and all I can find is the coffee that is in-store. I won't buy their pumpkin spice coffee because the calories are so high, but I did find green mountain brew-at-home pumpkin spice with very few caloreis. In-store the peppermint mocha has 180 calories for a medium coffee? I'm all set, BUT I did find the k-cups and it said it was 2 calories per k-cup. I want to just buy the brew-at-home IF it's really 2 cal a cup. None of those bags ever have any nutritional information on it I figure, in-store, maybe they use syrup instead of just brewing it? Any help?

Most of what is done to the coffee beans does not add calories to brewed coffee. The calories come in when you buy a brewed coffee that is full of syrups, creams and sugar.0

Same with the pumpkin white chocolate. I wanted to try that SO bad, but I looked up the info first... NO THANKS. They add a ridiculous amount of sugar, cream, etc. when they brew it in-store. They could manage to make a cup of straight black coffee to have 200 calories somehow....0

If you add cream and sugar or syrups to it, of course it will have a lot of calories. The K-cups don't include any of that. It's not rocket science.0

the flavored grounds that they sell in the bag have no more calories than the coffee itself (roughly 2 calories per 8 ounces) the calorie counts you're seeing on MFP are for what they serve in the store. Those are black coffee flavored with syrups, sugar and cream.
Feel free to buy the grounds, they wont hurt you! just don't load it up with sugar and cream like they do0 -
i got the peppermint mocha k cups, It is so yummy. like the previous posters said the flavored coffee beans are 2 calories for 8 oz. so good0

My sister used to work at DD years ago. They used to use flavored beans but switched to flavoring their coffees with syrups to keep up with places offering bunches of flavors. That is where the cals are coming in. Picking myself up some peppermint mocha k-cups on the way home tonight0

Thanks. Totally makes sense. I didn't realize they didn't brew their flavored coffees - of course adding syrups and extras would add up. I take it black, so I will totally pick up the bag tomorrow! I appreciate the help!0

On my K-Cup boxes the ones that only have 2 or so calories per cup have no nutritional information. The ones that have more calories do have nutritional info (for example the chai tea latte which is 70 or so calories has a nutrition panel). The majority of them don't have the panel though because they are just flavored coffee w/out other additives.
I would guess bagged coffee would be similar too - nutrition panel where needed, otherwise assume you're safe....0
