** Omega 3 Fish Oil Question **

Options
I know that it is recommended to take 2-3 pills a day (1000mg) but I was wondering if you guys take them all at once or throughout the day... I plan on doing it throughout the day but I don't know if it is necessarily... Thoughts?

It is recommended to get 2-3g of EPA+DHA, which is not the same as 2-3g of fish oil, look at the label of your fish oil and it will tell you the EPA+DHA content. It really doesn't matter if you space it out or take it all at once

I take them all at once, right after breakfast with a full glass of water. Why get the fish burps more than once a day? Yuck.

For myself, I don't do the fish oil. Instead I use hemp seeds and hemp protein powder. That way, instead of just *some* omega 3, I can get the perfect ratio of Omega 3 and Omega 6.

I buy Nordic Naturals online. No "fish burps." I take both at once in the morning.

    I stopped taking fish oil once I realized 2 tsp. Becel salt-free margarine (which I use anyway) has 2 g. Omega 6 and 0.6 g. Omega 3.

^truth. I love the strawberry ones, they're somewhat hard to find now, I can only find lemon most places. Optimum Nutrition's aren't bad either- no fishy burps

I've started taking the ones for mood. It is amazing for depression and has done wonders for my skin! I have very sensitive skin, and now it's starting to look down-right dewy!

I've heard from patients that after taking the fish oil, they take 1/2 tsp of cinnamin and it "cures" the "fish burps" I don't know if it's true, but worth a try once to see if it works. Doesn't matter if you space them or take them all at once.

I started adding chia seeds to my smoothies and yogurts. They're like a poppy seed an packed with omega 3, protein and iron.

They have ones that give you orange or lemon burps instead of fish ones.

I don't believe plant sources are the same as animal with the exception of..algae?

I personally use the liquid stuff that is lemon flavored. even if i get the burps it tastes like lemon bars. one tsp in the morning and one at night.
