NEED HELP!!!

Okay fitness and nutrition gurus, I need advice!
I am 30, 5'6", 234 lbs (and have an otherwise clean bill of health, including normal cholesterol levels, sugar intake, thyroid function - healthy, just fluffy!)
I am currently in week 7 of Insanity and frustrated by my results. I have lost 7" total off my body, but gained 1.2lbs in 7 weeks. As I am about 80lbs overweight (by medical standards) this is not the result I am looking for! I wear a HRT during the workouts and during these weeks of Max intensity I burn anywhere from 650 to 1100 calories per workout. MFP has me eating 1510 calories a week for a loss of 1.5lbs a week.
I do not currently eat my work out calories, excet for maybe 100 - 200 each day. I know that some are saying to eat those work out calories in order to lose, but you can probably understand my hesitation in doing so when I am already seeing a gain.
Can anyone give me sound, referably professional, advice about whether I need to increase the amount of calories I eat in order to begin to see a loss on the scale?
I love being this active, but want to love the results too! Please help!
Thanks!

no expert, but the last thing you want your body to think is that you are trying to survive a famine so withholding exercise cals, especially with such a low target, may be counter productive. I'd suggest upping to at least 50% of your cals to eat back (personally I ate at least 100% of my exercise cals back and have still lost!). Also 7 inches is fab! Well done, and remember that while you are losing fat % you also want to increase muscle % - so unless you've been adding significant weight over time I wouldn't be overly concerned. Give it at least 6 weeks, only weigh once a week to avoid obsession, and see how you track over time0
