Great idea..I didnt even think to pre log and at least I can have some kind of estimate. When I saw your post and I pulled up Thanksgiving day in my Log and once I saw all the stuff adding up ..it really makes you think about things...0

I'll be logging because I think it's best to go into the day with a plan, and not consider it a food free-for-all.
I'm running a 5K in the morning, but I'm not letting that give me freedom to eat everything and anything.
I plan on loading the plate up with turkey and veggies. I will skip the mashed potatoes and go for sweet potatoes instead. Very small amount of stuffing (since I only eat that once a year), and no rolls.
Since we are doing the cooking at home, I plan on finding some low-cal desserts (indiv. mini pumpkin pies?) to make in order to cut down on calories and serving sizes.
I think the key is to make sure that you are eating healthy on all of the days surrounding these holidays (that 80/20 rule), and not fall into the two month "eat whatever the hell you want, it's the holidays" thing. One meal isn't going to make or break you.0 -
I will track all my food regardless of what day it is.
love this attitude!0
