Can someone tell me how I change my macros on mfp? If you could give me some reccomendations on what to change them to? I am trying to lose 1 pound per week I cycle and burn about 700 kcal when weather permits and treadmill the other days. I still need to lose about 70lbs. I have not started lifting it seems intimidating and don't know where to start with weights. I have read many posts with folks doing 40% protein, 30% carbs and 30 % fat is this acceptable or should it be different. BTW i realize there will be those that say just eat your alloted calories I do realize this is an option however am trying to eat healthier and also do not want to lose any muscle mass in the prcoess of losing the weight and feel ajusting the macros would help with both of these aspects. thanks for any advice.

If you don't want to lose muscle mass you are going to have to lift0

"my home" > "goals" > "change goals" > "manually set my own custom fitness goal"
as for what you should change them to... hopefully someone else will chime in and be better help
but i agree you should start lifting, just start out very easy low weights until you find how much you can lift gradually increase from there0
