i want to share two websites

Okay .. I just found my old bookmarks and there I are two websites that I LOVE. However these are based purely on mathematical calculations and will not take into an account anything like water weight, plateau bla bla :)

Okay the first one is to calculate how many calories you require in order to lose X amount of pounds/kg in X amount of time.

LINK --> http://www.healthyweightforum.org/eng/calculators/calories-required/

The second one is to tell you how much you will weight if you eat X amount of calories for a long period of time. If you set it at a deficit .. it will eventually reach 0 lbs/kg

Enjoyy :)

  • Great websites - thanks for sharing!
  • Thanks for sharing, they're great websites. I found it interesting the difference between those two and MFP.

    Based on my last 9 months, the calculators are wrong, sorry. The first said I had to eat 200-300 fewer calories to reach my goal than I actually did, and the other says I'll gain 10 lbs. in the next year eating at a level that is currently causing me to lose weight.

    Thanks...These have been posted before. Unfortunately, most people do not lose weight by a "mathematical formula". Those things are good to look at and maybe motivational but don't tell you too much; If I just cut calories, after a while I would not get to far. The TYPE of calories I cut are VERY Important to Me...that's why I LIMIT the Scale and math formulas.

    Yes I agree with you Kate and EDesq. I am really aware of the fact that weight loss doesnt happen steadily and according to a formula, but this can be a good orientation, I think.

    Anyway .. everybody decides what's best for themselves, right? :) Good luck to everyone who is trying to lose weight !!
